Introduction to Zazen

What is zazen, Zen Buddhism’s form of meditation? Despite the mystique, you do not have to sit in lotus for hours at a time, or convert to Buddhism.

In this short workshop, we’ll explore the posture (s), breathing, and ideas of zazen, along with brief periods of sitting. We will also do a period of kinhin, walking meditation, and conclude with a Q&A session.

Free, but donations to support Gaia Yoga will be accepted (suggested $10).

Janis Hashe has been a practicing Zen Buddhist for 30 years. Only a student herself, she humbly offers to share her practice experience with others.
