A Postnatal Yoga & Support Group Series, with Closing Ceremony
This six-week series is designed to nurture birthing parents in their postpartum journey, offering a supportive space for emotional connection, physical recovery, and community building. Guided by Martina Chavez-Young and Sannaz Keyhani, this series combines postnatal yoga with facilitated discussions to explore the transformative experiences of birth, postpartum, and motherhood.
Each session includes gentle yoga to aid postpartum recovery, thoughtful group discussions on weekly themes, and opportunities to connect with people experiencing a similar phase in their parenting journey. Pre-crawling babies encouraged to join! Nursing/feeding and baby-soothing are always welcome, and snacks will be provided.
New this round: we're joined by guest speakers Laura Howells, IBCLC, who'll lead a session on feeding, sleep, and the physical demands of this stage, and Dr. Jillian Cerda Ramos, who'll lead a session on pelvic floor recovery and returning to movement. We'll also close our six weeks together with a ceremony honoring the transformation of the group — altar and intention setting, a sound bath, and a closing-of-the-bones ritual.
This series is an opportunity to share stories, reflect on your journey, and build a network of support—all while mindfully reconnecting with your body.
