Nicole loves connecting to her community and creating space for her students to take care of themselves. She believe that most things shouldn't be taken so seriously, including yoga. She strives to lighten things up, to create playful, fun, athletic flows, and then to get out of her students' way. In Nicole's vinyasa classes, you can expect a faster paced flow that gradually and mindfully builds in challenge and that guides you to tune inward. In her Restorative classes, Nicole offers a quiet, restful experience and individual guidance to help you feel comfortable and supported.
An E-RYT-200, Nicole completed her 200 hour training at Tranquil Space (now YogaWorks) in Washington, DC in early 2015. She has also completed additional trainings with YogaWorks (100 hour YogaWorks Method), Yoga Tree (Restorative Teacher Training) and Laughing Lotus (Bridge to Lotus Flow). She plans to complete her 500 hour certification by the end of 2019.
Known for her grounded and supportive presence, Nicole encourages her students to breathe deeply and cultivate mindfulness and calm. She offers a thoughtful and nurturing environment where her students can find whatever it is that they need from their yoga practice. To enhance her classes, Nicole weaves in aromatherapy and hands on assists as well as very eclectic music (from Tupac to Bach and everything in between).
Nicole is also passionate about curating meaningful travel experiences that emphasize cultural understanding and personal growth. She leads regular Yoga & Culture retreats to the Middle East & North Africa, where she has lived and traveled to extensively.
